In-Person Educational Services

ICMA-RC’s Educational Services for Participants

ICMA-RC’s on-site representatives are a key part of our education program. In-person education is one of the most effective types of education for participants and while all of our interactions are built to provide a similar educational experience, we feel that our in-person financial education is another area that sets us apart. There are three key elements to our Participant Education in-person services:

  • On-site Individual and Group Counseling is provided to employees by our salaried Retirement Plan Specialists. These sessions help participants understand features of your plan and enhance their investment knowledge. Our Retirement Plans Specialists are registered series 6 and 63 representatives and will assist participants as they make enrollment, contribution, investment and disbursement decisions.
  • Retirement Counseling is offered when a participant is considering his or her options as retirement approaches. ICMA-RC's on-site Retirement Plans Specialists assist with the many difficult decisions a participant faces as they retire. Using personalized computer illustrations, our Retirement Plan Specialists will provide participants with the information they need to make informed decisions, including benefit illustrations, and withdrawal paperwork. This service is available throughout their retirement, as long as we are the plan sponsor’s provider.
  • Certified Financial Planning Services are available to plan participants covering a broad range of topics. Services are available for participants from those just beginning to invest, through participants developing a plan to reach a specific investment goal, all the way to participants preparing for retirement. Financial planning seminars, provided by Certified Financial Planners (CFP®) can be provided as part of our communication and education program.
